Kathryn M. Ritsma was born and raised in the Stratford area on her family farm, where she and her husband Martin now reside. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and was called to the Bar in 1984. She articled with the former firm of Mountain & Mitchell and has practised in Stratford all of her career.

Kathryn appears before all levels of courts in Ontario in a wide range of areas. She practises actively in Wills and Estates, Real Estate, Family Law, Civil Litigation and Corporate Law and brings a practical approach to resolving litigious matters.

Kathryn holds a licence to complete private adoptions and has completed numerous adoptions in Perth County and throughout Ontario since 1987.
Kathryn is a former board member of United Way Perth-Huron and Choices for Change.

Kathryn and Martin are busy maintaining their family farms and have a keen interest in all agricultural issues throughout Perth County and Ontario. Kathryn and Martin have been the volunteer co-chairs of the Perth-Huron United Way Campaign for 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Kathryn enjoys her leisure time at Judy's School of Dance and viewing life through the eyes of her young grandchildren.
