Ryan is originally from Hamilton, Ontario. After graduating from Mohawk College and Wilfrid Laurier University with honours in Brantford, he went on to complete his law degree at the University of Ottawa. He articled in Toronto and was called to the Bar in 2013. After completing his articles, Ryan joined the firm of Robert S. Johns Professional Corporation which has now joined with the firm of Monteith Ritsma Phillips.
Throughout his career Ryan has dedicated his time outside of work to athletics and community involvement. Along with volunteering his time at a safe house for troubled youth, the Canadian Lawyer's Association for International Human Rights, and the University of Ottawa's Community Legal Clinic, Ryan has also worked as a peer tutor at the high school, college, and university level. He also played competitive hockey and soccer throughout his undergraduate and law school studies.
Ryan now resides in Listowel and brings with him a diverse skill set. Along with working several different jobs throughout his educational career, he has experience practising real estate, corporate and commercial, wills and estates and is passionate about putting those skills to work for you.
